George Lam is the Site Head at Takeda Manufacturing Singapore which produces commercial and clinical biologics drug substances.  

 

George joined Takeda in 2018 as Head of Manufacturing and was appointed Site Head a year later.  He has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry from Technical Development, Value Stream, Operational Excellence and Sustainability as well as Planning and Logistics.  He was also based in Shanghai for 3 years as GSK’s China Regional Supply Chain Head.

 

He graduated in Chemistry from National University of Singapore and has a MBA from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Australia. George is a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and a certified Master Black Belt.  

 

Before his China posting, George was serving as Vice President of Singapore National Institute of Chemistry and Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Biomedical sector in Workforce Development Agency.
