Dr. Jerry Yang, CTO and Head of Technical Operations of Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co., Ltd. since October 2022, leads FosunKite Technical Operations functions including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Project Management, Facility Engineering, MSAT, EHS and Corporate IT to ensure successful and timely delivery of commercial cell therapy product, 奕凯达®/Yescarta® over hundred China hospital sites and patients. Currently Jerry’s team is also working towards facility expansion and market approval for 奕凯达®(Yescarta®) 2L LBCL and FKC889/Tecartus® (MCL and ALL) BLA filing in China.

 

Dr. Yang has 30 years’ extensive experience in biopharmaceutical industry, expanding from  product and process development, clinical and commercial manufacturing. He has held increasing responsibility positions in major US biopharms including Merck, Allergan and Amgen, he served in Amgen for 10 years and his last assignment was as Scientific Director of Process and Product Development at Amgen. Since 2013, Dr. Yang helped to establish two startup companies, DZM Biotech and Transcenta. Transcenta was eventually IPO listed in Hong Kong Exchange (HK06628) in 2021. He was in charge of CMC development in obtaining over 20 large molecule programs IND approvals by US FDA and China CDE. His last position before he joined FosunKite was Executive Vice President of process and product development at Transcenta and General Manager of Transcenta subsidiary HJB, a fully integrated manufacturing and process development site with 260 employees.
