John Ng was previously the CTO and Acting CEO for Tessa Therapeutics. He was in Tessa Therapeutics for eight years and built the Tech Ops group from 20 people to 130 people, which included Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, MSAT, Process and Analytical Development. He also led the design, build, and CQV for a 134,000 sq ft commercial-scale cGMP facility for Cell & Gene with a state-of-the-art QC testing facility to enable rapid release for cell therapy products. Tessa Therapeutics completed a Phase 3 randomized cell & gene clinical trial for 330 patients with NPC (Nasopharyngeal carcinoma) with clinical supplies provided using in-house manufacturing. 
 
He is now the General Manager, APAC for Dark Horse Consulting, a global consultancy focused on the cell and gene therapy (CGT) sector. Founded in 2014, the company has its headquarters in Walnut Creek, California. It has an office in London, UK, and recently opened its APAC HQ in Singapore in 2024.
